Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Popularly known as the "Toy Train", The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is a romantic approach to Himalayas. This train was formulated in 1878 by Franklin Prestage, the agent of the Eastern Bengal Railway which was completed in 1881.

This earliest passenger vehicle had wooden benches and canvas roofs and first class, second class and third class carriage having open trolleys with side and end curtains.
